LICR Branches
Mr. Daniel K. Ludwig intended from the start that LICR Branches would be opened and closed in response to changes in cancer research opportunities around the globe (one of the reasons we don’t have our own buildings). In fact, there have been 16 LICR Branches in the Institute’s 34 year history.
The current (and new) LICR management believes that opening or closing a Branch is a very serious undertaking. However, over time, changes in Branch number and size are inevitable as a consequence of the increasing and changing demands of cutting-edge cancer research, e.g. sophisticated technologies, clinical access, small molecule and tumor sample libraries etc.
