This Office administers the intellectual property of the Institute. Its responsibilities include reviewing the Institute's scientific output to identify meaningful discoveries, and effecting and overseeing the filing, prosecution, and maintenance of the LICR's patents. The formation of collaborations with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies is critical for moving LICR's preclinical and clinical programs towards eventual product approval and, ultimately, patient benefit. This Office, working closely with the other Offices of the Institute, plays a key role in the formation of such alliances.
