A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed by the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research to establish a branch for translational and clinical cancer research in Singapore. This is in collaboration with three Singapore institutions, namely, the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (YLL-NUS) and the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School (Duke-NUS GMS).
LICR is seeking an outstanding physician-scientist or clinically-focused translational scientist to develop a new branch for clinical and translational research in Singapore as part of a multi-institutional collaboration with the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research(A*STAR), the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS-YLLSoM) and the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore (Duke-NUS GMS).
The successful candidate will be an established mid-career investigator with an exceptional track record and an outstanding independent research program. She or he will be responsible for coordinating a major collaborative cancer research effort in Singapore, including the recruitment of approximately four new research groups. The LICR Singapore Branch will build on existing local strengths in basic and translational research across the three major aforementioned Singapore institutions. The Branch will also be an integral part of LICR's international laboratory and clinical research programs.
Candidates for this position must have demonstrated leadership abilities and superior administrative skills required to build a translational and clinical research program, and integrate this program into collaborative research initiatives across the continuum of the LICR and Ludwig Centers worldwide.
